Terrie's Story
Its so nice to find everyone here! I attended one reunion, the 10th I think. Lets see....after high school, I went to Saddleback College, got my A.A. then I went off to San Diego State. I didn't finish with my bachelors program. I worked a few jobs then found the love of my life and got married at 24. I moved up to Mariposa Ca., the 'gateway' to Yosemite. Lived on a ranch for 24 years, and had 4 wonderful kids (the last one when I was 40). I was a stay at home mom for all those years, very involved in their school, sports, etc. Living in the country, I did what country people do...made my own blackberry jam, homemade bread, did everything but milk the cow :-) By my mid 40's, I was feeling a little adventurous, so started rock climbing and auto racing....I wouldn't call it midlife crisis, but more of a hobby outside of being Mom 24/7. nvolved my children in my activities tho and they were fun family adventures! Unfortunately, my marriage ended abruptly so I put the children in the car and headed back down to S. Ca. I used to have nightmares of moving back to the city (after 24 years of being a country gal) But I love it!!!!!! I live in a 120 year old home which I fixed up really cute (it needed a lot of work). I am a freelance photographer and specialize in event photography (you can search tavisphotography on the web). I enjoy my restored '56 Chevy truck and love entering it in car shows!!! Love vintage airplanes, I love to camp, kayak, garden but most of all, spend time with my family!
I was pretty stealth in high school, but now, more than ever, have come to value the gift of friendship and have reconnect with many acquaintances from my past. It's a wonderful feeling!!!!!
