Kathi's Story
Life
I've been "very" happily married for 32 years. I have 4 adult children and we are expecting our 13th & 14th grandchild this year. We have been living in Washington for over 9 years. This is a very fun time for me because I went back to school after raising my kids. After obtaining my BA degree in 2001, I became a Community Corrections Officer (CCO), which is the new name for Parole Officer, for the Department of Corrections in Washington. ervised adult offenders who had been released from prison or jail. I did this for about 5 years. In 2006, I transfered to Child Protective Services. I investigated child abuse referrals. Now, I am back with the Department of Corrections as a CCO. I'm having a blast! It's wierd, just as I'm beginning, others are talking about retiring. Not me! I hope to work until my body gives out. Hopefully that won't be any time soon. I'm healthy and strong.
