Bunny's Story
Life
Gee where to start!
I was pretty much a gypsy most of my early years.
Went to 7th grade in Ripon Calif.(had a boyfriend named Dave Martin there). I then went to East Flagstaff Jr. High in Flagstaff Ariz. I Came to Paso Robles High School in 1978 (10th Grd) and have been in Paso Robles ever since.
Married my Senior Sweetheart, Andrew Davis in 1982. Had our first child in 1989, a daughter. Our second child in 1991, a son. And then a surprise came our way in 1999, a daughter.
I've been pretty much a homemaker during that time.
Worked at Licketysplit Donut & Ice Cream before we had our kids. Worked at Crum's Office Supply off & on when I left Licketysplit. I did lots of Cake decorating on the side back then.
Andrew and I had a good life together. He became a Police Dispatcher then an Officer for A.S.H.(Atascadero State Hospital) and worked his way up the ranks, moving us up to Napa State Hospital in 1998 when he took a promotion to Leiutenant. Then we moved back in 2000.
It's a good thing to be home again.
He worked at A.S.H., until he became too ill with his 2nd bout of cancer, to be there. I lost him to complications with a 3rd bout of cancer and double pneumonia May 1st 2003.I wouldn't trade those years with Andy for anything in the world. He was given a full Police Officer's Memorial.
Now I'm single and raising 3 great kids by myself(along with 2 dogs and a cat). Still a homemaker and will be doing cakes again someday, along with lots of volunteer work at the schools and elsewhere. I was the Flag Team Coach at Flamson Middle School in 2003.
I hope to marry again someday, to someone as great as Andy was, and who will love my kids as if they were their own. Only God knows who and when that will be.
For now I'm planning on living life to the fullest with my kids by...Expand for more
my side.
UPDATE MAY 2004:
Life goes on and is great. I am now in a serious relationship and very much in love again. I'm with Bert Cecil from the class of '85. We met only four months after Andy passed, and I only intended to be friends, but as fate would have it we have fallen in love and are very happy with our six kids between us! (I know, I know, The Brady Bunch! LOL)
All these uncanny little coincidences kept showing up. His parents were good friends with Andy's parents and he is named the same as Andy's father was. We have many of the same friends and the same likes and dislikes, and we find more every day.
Life is great and I thank God every day for always being there to look out for me and for my children. Oh,by the way, we met on Match.com!! It really does work!
School
Kindergarten in Los Angeles Area & Reseda, CA.
1st grade in San Luis Obispo, CA
2nd grade in Van Nuys, CA
3rd grade & part of 4th grade in San Miguel, CA
4th-6th grades in Flagstaff, AZ
(and a couple of months in Paso in 4th)
7th grade in Ripon, CA (and about 2 weeks in Paso)
8th & 9th grades in Flagstaff, AZ
10th -12th grades in Paso Robles, CA
As you can see,I was quite the gypsy girl. I hated starting up in new schools because I was shy, but it was easier as time went on because as it shows, I went back to familiar areas and old friends.
I have good memories and still have some of the earlier friendships. I still feel though that my last three years were my most memorable. I was involved in choir, band, pep club, Drama, and later was in the first Tall Flag Team of Paso High.
I really enjoyed being in these activities because they kept me around people and I had fun. I guess that's why I'm so involved with my kids being in the same type of activities. I still like people and the activity!
