Burl's Story

Travels-I'm looking forward to my next excursion. I was told "no diving fIn or at least six months after my back surgery. I leave for Bali on the 7th of May for two weks. Bev and I will be doing the great rivers of Europe, ( Amsterdam to Vienna) in September.Life is good! I am retired from PG&E. I am married but live by myself. Sounds funny but we both like our own space. My son and I just returned from a scuba dive trip to Roatan, Honduras.It's good to be home. I have also started a couple of writing classes. a from 60 to 64. I also worked for PG&E for 30 years as an Elect technician, retiring in 2004. I worked for Atwater elect for about a year in 65. Military I quit school to join the Navy in Dec of 56. I spent 3 years on shore duty in San Diego, and one year on a heavy cruiser out of Long Beach. I made one west pac cruise to Hawaii, Guam Formosa, Japan and Hong Kong. I re-enlisted in June of 65, in time for Viet Nam. I was sent to Chicago for more elect training (B School) then to instructor Training School. Then it was off to Hawaii, to the mothball fleet where I spent 3 1/2 years teaching Hawaiians about electricity.Great Duty!!
