David's Story
Attended Joel E. Ferris High in Spokane in 1965 and early 1966, then moved to Guam, where I went to John F. Kennedy High (now torn down to build a new high school). In 1968, we moved to Vandenberg AFB in California, where I finished my senior year at Cabrillo High.
After graduating from Cabrillo High in 1969, I occasionally showed up at Southern California College (now Vanguard University) in Costa Mesa. Dropped out in 1970. Married Becky (see photo) in 1971. Went back to school at the University of Idaho in 1973 and graduated in Economics in 1977. Tried graduate school at Washington State University, but dropped out to join the Foreign Service in 1978.

Brussels (US Mission to the European Union), Canada, New Zealand, and back to DC. We moved to Tel Aviv, Israel summer of 2008 and retired from there, returning to Spokane in October 2011..
While in New Zealand, I got reacquainted with Ron Dedera from Cabrillo High and met his wife, Susie. I occasionally ran into old friends from Ferris High School while on home leave in Spokane (and expect to see them more often now that we're retired), but I have yet to meet up with any of my friends from John F. Kennedy High on Guam.
Becky and I have three sons. The eldest was married in 2007 and lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. The youngest married in 2010 and lives in Las Vegas. Our middle son lives in the Baltimore area and has a six-year-old daughter, our only grandchild..
