Life
I am living my dream! I've been an actor and singer in theater all my life in Oak Park, Santa Fe, Albuquerque and Farmington then moved to Los Angeles almost 16 years ago to get PAID for it more regularly! Hallelujah! NOW, I am an Alien from another planet on the new ABC sitcom THE NEIGHBORS. We are shooting Season 2 now. It is the MOST FUN job! We were nominated for The 2013 People's Choice Award for New TV Comedy. Also as an actor, I've worked multiple episodes of ABC's MODERN FAMILY since it began & it too is a dream set! Great & delightful peeps! I am very proud of the Fox Searchlight film MY NAME IS KHAN with India's biggest star Shah Ruhk Khan and director (and very handsome and nice) Karan Johar. Yay Bollywood! I play a not-so-nice myopic school teacher. It is a wonderful universal love story about humanity and tolerance. Also in 2010, I had a silly role of a disdained teacher in a Kraft commercial when a principal (very talented Michael Hitchcock) has a "meltdown" It was for their cheese product Meltdowns.( I'm in the 2 minute version still on You Tube) I shot a fun two day role on the TV show MONK which I was a fan of. My scenes were with multiple Emmy winner Tony Shalhoub (Mr. Monk) who was very warm and welcoming. It was their eighth & final season, so I got in under the wire! It first aired Sept, 2009 & reruns. I shot a VH1 promo with Paula Abdul who was very nice. I also worked for two weeks on the Katherine Heigl/Gerard Butler film THE UGLY TRUTH. Other TV credits include NBC's ER and CARSON DALY SHOW and recurring on both ABC's JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE and 4 episodes of Adult Swim's wild TIM & ERIC AWESOME SHOW. (Most recently their one hour holiday "Chrimbus" Special.) My fist big LA gigs were when I was a brothel girl in WILD, WILD WEST & when I was a "regular" teacher on the TV show BOSTON PUBLIC for 32 episodes! :-) I shot a national Budweiser TV commercial for famed director Joe Pytka that played during the 2005 Super Bowl that replayed in 2008 where we are applauding US troops walking through the Los Angeles Airport. proud of. Did a fun bit for the GREASE director for the Amanda Bynes film LOVEWRECKED. I shot a Kerry/Edwards TV commercial for their. election. (don't be mad Bush fans. It was a paid gig and I'd sell Depends if I was hired for it!) Years ago, one of the funny bits on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE was with Kathy Griffin as Martha Stewart going to prison and I was a fellow inmate! It was a hoot! I shot a Sony short film where I "flew" 25 feet above the ground on wires! "My" dog in the film was the Pug that played Frank the talking dog in MEN IN BLACK 2. It was terrific! Shot a music video for the band A Perfect Circle where I looked UGGG-LY! ;-) MTV here I am! Had a glorious WEEK on SPIDER-MAN 2 but alas, you can't even see me in it. It was a wonderful experience and the check didn't bounce! Had a blast on HOLLYWOOD HOMICIDE. Harrison Ford was STILL pretty cute and so dang regular and nice! I also shot a film with Rap music moguls Master P and Lil' Romeo called UNCLE P where I played a kindergarten teacher singing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" to my class. ( I play a lot of teachers, nurses, diner waitresses and Moms) Alas, auditioned for Glee, The Mentalist, Raising Hope, CSI, Clint Eastwood's The Changeling, Kevin Costner's Swing Vote, the Spielberg/Hanks film The Terminal, Dodgeball, 50 First Kisses, Little Black Book, among others and didn't get them. Sigh...That's showbiz! I also worked production on the Tom Cruise produced film SUSPECT ZERO (Sir Ben Kingsley & Aaron Eckart) at the city morgue in Albuquerque! (An odor that I will never forget! Ugh....) Other feature films include The Wedding Crashers, A Mighty Wind, Bad Santa, Wild, Wild West, Win A Date with Tad Hamilton, Coyote Ugly, Ed TV, WYATT EARP and the "local" Santa Fe production assistant for 5 months on SILVERADO. I am also a talent escort for the Grammys, American Music Awards, Primetime Emmys,Creative Arts Emmys and Independent Spirit Awards & have a ball! I have the BEST husband. We have 2 killer daughters and we are new-ish Grandparents! We are very blessed! I hope all my former classmates are enjoying life as well!!!
