Burt's Story
Howdy, from west Texas.
I'm a flight instructor and own "Marfa Gliders" flight school near the Davis Mountains and Big Bend National Park in far southwest Texas.
Marfa town is on a grassy plateau surrounded by mountains. Elevation here is 5,000' above sea level, so summers are not as hot as you might think. Low humidity year-round and the sky is usually a brig...Expand for more

My new hometown is a friendly community of ranchers, writers, musicians, artists and "characters". I'm still playing in an oldies rock band called the "Moondogs of Marfa". (If you recall, my band played our senior prom at Bayfront auditorium in 1967.)
So I'm flyin' and rockin'. Life is good. I've been quite fortunate indeed.
