After graduation from the greatest high school in the World, Long Beach Poly, I joined the Air Force, where I served on active duty for eight years, while also attending the University of Dayton, majoring in "resource management" (akin to business administration in most schools). After my two tours were up, I continued serving part-time in the California Air National Guard, from which I recently retired after 33 years of combined active and reserve duty. Shortly after leaving the Air Force, I landed a job with Kaiser Permanente, the country's leading HMO; working for 16 years in the clinical end of Pathology, before transitioning to the Information Technology sector, providing system support to the Pathology departments throughout Southern California, as well as other Kaiser regions.
