Sue's Story
Life
Hello friends! It's good to talk to you.
I was married the first time for 28 years and had 3 sons -- now all grown, the youngest (Andy) just graduated from college with a degree in stage management. I have two beautiful grandchildren (Rachel and Seth) by my oldest son, Guy, and his wife. My middle son (Mark) is a professional, touring rock musician and a contract software developer. I now live with my second (and wonderful) husband.
I've continued with my musical (choral) interests and have been a church choir director for more than 20 years, part-time. If the churches would pay enough, I think I would prefer to make my living conducting choirs. I started in college as a music major, but finished with a degree in Communication. Somehow I got sidetracked by my interest in language, learning, and writing. No regrets.

I wrote supervisory-management training articles and newsletters for a training company in Texas. The newsletter was called Managing Right Now and was distributed via email. I also wrote supplements to a newsletter called Practical Supervision (later called Managing People at Work). I learned a lot reading business books and then passing on that information to our subscribers in a form that was a little easier to digest. When you do something like that, you hope that your work has made a positive difference to someone.
Lately we've been remodeling a house we own because we want to keep it as rental property to provide income when we retire. It seems unbelievable to me that I'm writing about retirement. I still feel like that kid in high school. My knees keep reminding me that I'm no longer 17, however.
I have a great life! I hope yours is the same.
