I saw there was no future in working at that company, so I decided to look for a better opportunity. I got hired by P.T.&T (pacific telephone & telegraph) in November '67 and while still working for P.T.& T.I got drafted into the Army in Aug '69
Basic Training was at Fort Ord in Monterey and was pretty uneventful except for spending almost a week in the Hospital with Strep Throat. Tehran. The Shah Palavi was the Ruler of the country and he was quite friendly towards the West and as such so were the people. I enjoyed my time there and was able to travel to the Caspian Sea. We finished our Project after 11 months and flew back to Heidelberg. After another three months in Germany and my 2 year stint in the Army was over, homeward bound at last..
I went right back to work as Installer at my old garage (work location) in Reseda. I worked at Dodger Stadium for Pacific Bell during the 84 Olympics setting up the Data and Phone lines that were needed to Broadcast the Games.
That year(1984) was an eventful year for me, I got Divorced, worked the Olympics and I received my transfer to San Luis Obispo.
