Robert Kazmer (Buz) is from Havertown, Pennsylvania. His schools include Annunciation BVM primary school, and Haverford High School, but graduating in 1965 from Sandia High School in Albuquerque NM. During military service he was appointed to United States Military Academy at West Point (Engineering), subsequently transferring to University of New Mexico where he received degrees in chemistry and math. He was then awarded his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Michigan State University.
