Ralph's Story
Born July 6, 1942, which I believe made me the youngest member of the West High class of 1959. I intended to write novels and screenplays, but instead became an economics professor, textbook author, software designer, and economics consultant. [Economics textbooks might be viewed by some as containing large amounts of fiction.] I've lived and worked in Europe and 11 states, but recently retired to Scottsdale, Finally working on a novel that has been percolating for 30 years or so. Listing milestones seems easiest, and I have become lazier, so here goes:.

All texts Co-Authored with Gerald W. Stone [1941-2010] (West High 1959, PhD Rice U. 1972, JD U of Denver 1980) Jerry's son Matthew is a co-creator of, among other works, "South Park" and "The Book of Mormon." My brother Jim [West High, 1962] inspired the South Park character "Uncle Jimbo," and I inspired the character "Ned."
In August 2002, I won a tournament run by the Institut fur Strategiespiele (Germany and Turkey) carrying the title "World On-Line Backgammon Championship." I started playing in 1997, and don't play as well as this title suggests. Other interests have kept me from playing much in the last decade or so, although I do play in "live" tournaments about once a year.
Semi-Retired economist and author, revising a novel and completing a multimedia project. Fell in love with a fabulous woman: 2012. :-) I am currently an active volunteer for the Democratic Party.
