C's Story

School Most people I know don't realize that I have been to 9 different schools during my K-12 education. so most of my 'lifelong' school buddy's don't really exist. I'd definitely like to get reaquainted with some old friends Military Well, I initially joined the Army Reserves in June, 2000. I went to basic training July 19, 2000, at Fort Knox, Kentucky and graduated October 6th. From basic training, I went to the Army Transportation School at Fort Eustis, VA where I would spend the first couple weeks learning to become an Army Stevedore. career choice by signing up for active duty. I went back to Fort Eustis, Virginia to learn to become a Medium Helicopter Repairer (a chinook helicopter mechanic). I spent quite a bit of time in the school up there, and finally graduated May 30th, 2002, with orders to Fort Wainwright, AK. I drove to Alaska, after returning home for a short leave. Upon arrival to Alaska, I was assigned to C-Co, 123d AVN REGT (AVIM), and worked as a wrench turner for a year and a half. In September 2003, I was given the opportunity to be a crew member, and was transferred to B-Co, 4-123d AVN, Where I crewed. Most recently, I spent a year in Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, maintaining and servicing our units 12 Chinook Helicopters.
