Chief among my accomplishments is having survived 10 different schools between kindergarten and high school! I graduated from high school in Littleton, CO, and lived in NYC from 1987-2010. I was in the children's book business for practically ever, as a bookseller at a children's bookstore in Manhattan, a children's book buyer for Barnes & Noble superstores, and a national account manager for HarperCollins Children's Books. In early 2011 I moved back to Denver, working for Baker &Taylor as the Children's and Teen specialist for B&T's public library sales division. That gig ended after a couple of years, which was kind of a blessing — not a great fit. I decided to stay in Denver rather than moving back east, though I do miss family and friends there like crazy.
