John's Story
Life
My military experience has pretty much dominated my life after high school. I married a nice young lady from Michigan in 1963 named Sandi. We decided to have our children right away and along came two girls, Teresa (Sep64) and Tina (Jan67).We worked our way through the maze of military assignments. I must admit, it made for an interesting life. We now live in Washington state with our whole family including two grandchildren. 've been trying to totally retire since I retired from the Navy in 88. We started a coffee shop in 1993 and did reasonably well. We did finally retire in 2000 and took a long trip across the US. My wife's health started to fail so we ended our trip and returned to Washington and our family. She lost her fight in 2012. After feeling sorry for myself for a few years, I found a lady who was in the same boat and decided we would spend some time together. We've been together for almost 4 years and decided to move to Hawaii in Nov 2019.
