Candi Parks Gershuni:  

I moved back to Palos Verdes Estates in 1995 with my soon-to-be-ex-husband of 36 years, Gregory Gershuni, a trial lawyer, (Century City) after 10 years living in West LA. We raised four amazing children together, who are now all living successful and productive lives. I live in the home we bought 26 years ago in PV Estates, in the Valmonte section, near the stables and the golf course. It's been satisfying to be involved in leadership with the PV community: the PV Art Center, (The Associates and The Circle) Peninsula High School, (formerly Rolling Hills High), Las Madrecitas, Las Nina’s Board, Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club, South Bay Panhellenic, volunteering at Orthopaedic Hospital, Charitable Children's Guild, USC Town & Gown, the Keck University Hospital Guild, Parents Council, Intersorority Parent Council, Daughters of the American Revolution, and more. Three of my kids attended PVIS at the PV High site. They called Senior Park “The Common!" PV High is BACK. Fun note: my son David was Editor-in-Chief of the Pen High yearbook for TWO years! Chip off the old block. He ran a staff of 80 as a junior, so I give him props. (His yearbook was 672 pages-largest in the USA, and won national awards. I love that! ) David and Victoria both graduated from USC, on merit scholarships, which eased the pain for Daddy, the BRUIN. 😂Victoria received her USC BS and Masters, then graduated from medical school at Wash U St. Louis, before completing a 7-yr surgery residency at U of Penn in Philly. David graduated USC with 3 degrees: Communication, Computer Science and Computational Math, before earning his Masters in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon.
