Candy's Story

Life Can't believe it's really been 30 years since that fun senior year !!! That time in my life was fantastic...Luann Robinson tried teaching me how to make quilts, and how to relax and to just have fun, ect. Dory Riley was my bestfriend in the world! (Still is my friend today) A bunch of us girls went to the David Bowie concert, skipped senior skip day then spent it at the Phoenix zoo, attended parties in the desert,ect...those were the days my friend. Ofcourse I had a part-time job at Hole in the Wall to buy my cool clothes. (LOL) Shadow Mountain was my third high school I attended. Even though being a pom-pom girl at one school and on the basketball team at yet another....Shadow was my very favorite school in the world. I met the greatest people and some I'm proud to still call friends today! Wow --- my life has been interesting! Never a dull moment and I like it that way. I'm way too hyper to sit around and do nothing. I moved back to Michigan in July of 1977. I married my childhood sweetheart Steve from Hastings in August of 1978 and thirteen months later had my first son. Jason is almost 28 years old and my youngest son Jamie is 26 years old. Stayed married for 15 years or so. Had my real estate license for awhile, but if you do not use it and sell lots of properties its too expensive to just h...Expand for more
ave your name look good on the wall so I let my license go. Which I regret doing and still am planning on going back to school and getting it once again. My sons and I brought our doberman pincher to Phoenix from Michigan! I was single for many years....God likes to test us, and he did a good job, I made it, I survived. And so did they. I re-married in 1999, to a very nice man. He passed away in 2005, after a long illness. Now I'm trying to concentrate on me. (Before I get too old) I want to enjoy my life...still not sure what I want to be when I grow up !!! Look forward to hearing from my ole high school friends. Thanks to each and everyone one of you I've heard from, it's already been a blast. I have loved looking at all of us who dared put our then and now pictures out there for the whole world to see. Hopefully our heat will return to a half-way normal temperature pretty soon, anything under 100 degrees would be great. Summer is almost gone and our reward is right around the corner. Can't wait to put on a pretty sweater and jeans again. We are spoiled here in Arizona with the wonderful people and the weather. Best Regards, Candy BLESSED ARE THEY WHO CAN LAUGH AT THEMSELVES, FOR THEY NEVER CEASE TO BE AMUSED. P.S. The reunion was enjoyable. It was nice to see everyone.
