Candy's Story

I've been living a carmed life. After 20 years in the Anaheim area, I moved to San Diego in 1973. Working with the Copley News Service initially, I eventually started my own newspaper. Two children, a son who is a software engineer in Seattle, and a daughter who is a photographer working with Lifetouch Church Directories in San Diego. She has four children, the oldest is in the Navy and undergoing Nuclear Engineer education. One is 17, will graduate high school next year, and win six year olds. I left San Diego in 1993 and moved to SW Washington State, where again I started several newspaper, the ls...Expand for more
t of which we sold in 2007. It was a big hit with the community. (see it at ValleyBugler.com). I have jumped out of a perfectly good airplane, enjoying the view from 12,500 over Mt St Helens; flew over Seattle in a WWII B25, rode up and down the Columbia River on a tugboat pulling log rafts, become a certified fire figter at age 40+, served as the San Diego Padres staff photographer, and have won international photographic awards, National Leadership Award, National Businesswoman of the Year, Washington State Grange Volunteer of the Year, Kiwanian of the Year and more. I'm having a really good time.
