Life Hmmm...let's see. After getting my undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis, I moved out to Boston on kind of a lark, having never been here before. I ended up staying for 26 years (and counting!). I went to graduate school out here to get a master's in social work, so for the the past 20+ years I've been working as a psychotherapist, administrator and trainer. My career has mainly focused in the area of child protection (working with kids and families where there is serious child abuse, in a variety of settings), and "troubled adolescents" (mostly those same kids). Currently I am the clinical director of a high security facility that treats boys who are incarcerated for violent crimes and sex offenses, some of whom have mental illnesses as well.
