Carey's Story
I am currently an attorney for a utility in Phoenix, AZ, and loving it. Moved here in Feb 2022 following a 5+ year stint in Abu Dhabi.
Five years prior to that, I was General Counsel of an energy company in Abu Dhabi, UAE. From 2012 to 2016, I was in Wilmington, NC, as a nuclear regulatory attorney for GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy. Before becoming an attorney in 1998, I worked as a Senior Reactor Operator for the Carolina Power & Light (now Duke) at the Harris Nuclear Plant, which is located just outside Raleigh, NC.
From 1977-1983, I was in the Navy, working as a nuclear submarine propulsion plant operator (homeported out of Charleston, SC, and Holy Loch, Scotland).
I am married w/ two adult children and several grand-little-ones.
