Carl's Story

I'm still in NJ, living in East Brunswick and working in Middletown. My wife Maria and I married in 1998 and we have two great boys; Matthew turned 11 in April of '10 and Jack, will turn 5 in May of '10.
As for my musical career (remember I was a band geek in high school), the last time I picked up the trumpet, it sounded so bad that my son asked me to NEVER do that again, so the closest I am to anything musical is playing Rock Band on the Wii with the boys.

I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. I entered with "an open contract" and ended up in the Marine Corps Infantry as a gunner for a 81mm mortar team. I completed boot camp at Parris Island, SC, Infantry Training School at Camp LeJeune, NC and then received my orders for the fleet to Weapons Company, 81's Platoon, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines, Camp Pendleton, CA. My next few years included some great travel to other countries: Panama for jungle training at Ft. Sherman; Okinawa, Japan and two stops to South Korea. I was honorably discharged from the Corps in '86, stayed in CA for a year before I moved back to NJ and got started in the insurance industry in 1987 and I'm still there, 23+ years later.
