Now that retirement is looming, what to do? Well I have bought a sailboat, am planning on selling the family homestead, have some adventures where butter melts. a couple of years later, the hse is sold, moved on the boat, sailed the boat to Ca on the first step of the journey. The trip to ca took 8 days including two stops. Had some strong wind pushing it 8 to 10 knots. Now planning the next step. just left Richmond can on the. W a year to San diego. Going to join the 2015 back haha for to Mexico Cabo 120 boats as re in the group leaving . Going to stop in Catalana island for a couple of days on the way to SD. 4/30/2012 Just retired and now it is on to work the plan; put new electronics on the boat, get ready to go around Vancouver Island this summer, want to go California this fall(August/September). Still planning to move on the boat and rent the house, no need to sell. Done a lot of bicycling, had a couple of surgeries, did the Vietman thing( with no big drama things there) married and divorced once, raised 3 sons who are doing well in their lives.My oldest is planning on retiring from the Army(I thought that 1 1/2 years in Vietman was significant until he did Bosnia,Kosovo, Haiti and 3 trips ...Expand for more
