Carl's Story
"Life Bio?" Good lord! I live in a terrific 3-BR brownstone rental apartment in New York City, and have done so since graduating from Northwestern U in 1975... now pretty much a "Native New Yorker." I'm happily gay, no longer in a relationship, but have a lot of friends, in NYC, back home in IL and online. I own a condo in Fort Myers, FL, which i spend about 6-7 weeks per year in, and which my parents - being "Snowbirds" - live in from December through May to avoid the Illinois winters. I'm a Scenic Designer, now working as an Assistant Art Director in film and TV. Recent projects include Seasons 2-6 of WHITE COLLAR, the pilot for HOW TO GET AWAY...Expand for more
WITH MURDER, and the just-premiered NBC mini-series THE SLAP. Prior to going freelance in 2009, I worked for the same scenic design company in NYC for 21 years (WOW) designing such things as the ESPNews main studio, Winter Olympics Home bases for CBS in Albertville, France, plus dozens of corporate business meetings, and a little theatre now and then. I'm also on the National Executive Board of the Designers union, United Scenic Artists Local USA 829, as the Corresponding Secretary (and Newsletter editor) which also makes me a Tony Award voter... so I see A LOT of Broadway theatre every year (tough gig, eh?) I thunk that's enough about me... ;-)
