The long and winding road, wow, I graduated from High School in time to become a wandering hippie. I meditated with Buddhists, danced with Hare Krishnas, praised God with "Jesus Freaks," and worked to bring in the Age of Aquarius with the new agers. I tried them all. I felt like Mulder searching for the truth. Now, after forty plus years of still wandering in the wilderness, I have come to the conclusion--all religions work for those that believe. To the outsider, or, like me, the doubter, none of them make perfect sense. So, my search continues. I made my money working in various aspects of construction. In my late thirties, I went to college and got a BA in Sociology with a minor in Religious Studies. People told me that it was difficult to make any money in sociology--they were right. I stayed with construction and left a master's degree program at San Diego State to play beach volleyball and go surfing. I was finally getting my life together and setting some goal...Expand for more
