Carla's Story
Life
Well here is my bio. After high school I screwed up totally and married John Shourds from Surrattsville High School. Only thing good that came out of that is I have two beautiful children . . . now 17 and 12; Alexandra and Brittany. I finally got out of that terrible marriage in 1995. I have had some wonderful jobs; I have worked for law firms, The White House and The CIA. While working for the CIA I met my now husband . . he is wonderful!!!! . . he was in the military stationed in Virginia and working in the building I was working at. We dated for about 4 years. He is originally from Michigan, so believe it or not and it was hard to do . . we got married and I moved to Michigan with him and my two children. It was hard to leave my great job and my family. needed to get away from my ex-husband because he was STILL a problem . . lived way to close. Now we have at least 600 miles between us . . he can't show up and cause a scene. Life is good. I miss Virginia but Michigan is very nice. Very large state. We live in the lower part of the state . . thank God . .don't get very much snow here at all. Very hot in the summer and plenty of activities to do. All very close. Water everywhere. We have a new boat and go water skiiing all the time. In the winter we can be snow skiing in 30 minutes and we own snowmobiles. My girls are so grown up . . I can't believe it. I don't feel my age. I feel I could easily be 20 something . . . don't know where the time went. I hope to reconnect with as many former class mates as possible.
