Carla's Story
Life
I went to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and received my degree. I married in 1981. I have 2 sons. Justin 22 who is a senior at CSUN. He is a swimmer and will compete this fall for CSUN. My younger son is Tyler. He just turned 16. Got his drivers license a few weeks ago. It is scary, but nice at the same time. He plays water polo and swims for Royal High School in Simi Valley. He is a two time CIF champion in swimming. As a freshmen he won the 100 yard backstroke and this past year he won the...Expand for more
100 yard freestyle and came in second in the backstroke. Along with this he set school records in both events. He will soon need to decide which sport to pursue in college.My husband Gene is a nurse at Los Robles Hospital. After many years in the insurance industry, I went back to school and got my teaching credential from CSUN. I work for LAUSD and teach 1st grade. I spend most of my free time at the pool. I enjoy reading and am currently working on my Masters degree in Reading and Literacy.
