Carla Heine's Story

This "now image" is a picture of Carla from Sonoma Magazine. The other half of the photo is her limousine Lola. Carla says this is as close as she will ever get to being a centerfold. The "then" picture is Carla's favorite photo of herself with her younger brothers Eddie and Eric. Her graduating class at Sonoma Valley Union High School was the class of 1971, but she finished school a year early, and was allowed to graduate in 1970. In college Carla pledged Kappa Alpha Theta at University of Colorado, Boulder, where she majored in Biology. Her father, Edmund Heine was with the US 51st Cavalry and later became well-known architect; her mother worked in the diplomatic corps for the United Nations and was a stay at home mom. Carla started her professional writing career as an in-house management consultant to Fortune 500 companies in 1973, and went on to own her own recruiting firm Executive Search" at Fox Plaza in San Francisco for 250 of those same Fortune 500s. At Justin Sienna High School Carla worked in the fine arts department for Alex Urban, and for Francine Maffei she was The Children's Center Director at Saint Francis Solano School for over a decade. Her favorite job was being the sound designer for The Children's Theatre Network in Sonoma, Marin, Napa, and Fairfield. Beth Marie Deenihan as a ballet teacher, rehearsal coach, and member of the board of directors with Sonoma Ballet Conservatory from 1974 to 2005. Now she hosts a live radio show called "Strange Wine; History and the Paranormal in the Valley of the Moon". It has aired on KSVY 91.3FM every Saturday night from 11pm to Midnight for over five years. KSVY podcasts her shows online. Semi-retired and inexplicably happy Carla is married to John Mirsberger, a former US Marine sharp-shooter who grew up in Manhattan, not far from where her mother was raised. A founding member of the Sonoma League for Historic Preservation, Carla uses her knowledge of Indian history and haunted sites and buildings in Sonoma in her limousine tours of the historic district. See her Free mini-tour "Haunted Sonoma" online at You Tube. If you have had real, first-hand experience of Sonoma's spookier side, get in touch with Carla. She is writing a book called: "Ghosts and Legends of Sonoma" which will be available from Amazon.com in January of 2010. Carla and John live just below the Sonoma Mountain Cemetery, on Blue Wing Drive, one block from the haunted house in which she grew up. Carla's' favorite teacher in high school was Mr. Henderson, the drama teacher. Her favorite person from Room 22 was Victor Wong. Her guitar teacher was Jay Watkins. Her secret crush at SVHS was Hank Jordain. Her first boyfriend was Chris Schleibleck. Her second boyfriend was Harold Burrell. But her High School Sweetheart was Len Arthur Dillman of Riverside Drive in El Verano.
