Carol's Story
Well, ok. I am Carol "Mike" Harberts (now Aalbers). I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI. My ever lovin' Dad tacked "Mike" on me when I was too young to know the difference. Went to Fairview School K-8, then Union High for 9th & 10th grades. We then moved to California, my last two years of High School were at Redlands High, where I graduated in 1961. I went to a junior college for a year, worked at the University of Redlands for a couple years. Married Glen, we have two great sons & a lovely daughter, 5 super grandkids. I am retired (from just about everything) & enjoying life. Looking forward to my class reunion in Michigan (the one in Redlands is the SAME weekend!!).

ws now, the reunion was over a year ago already! Had a great time visiting with classmates - LOVED to see so many Fairview classmates there! The Good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise, I will be at the next one also. Wish I could drag my cousin Bob Harberts there, but he is a stubborn Dutchman (aren't we all!?) and won't accompany me! So I go with my lifetime friend Marcia, who is married to Union classmate Bob Coleman.
My husband Glen and I had our 50th anniversary on 1-11, are taking a great train trip this summer to Iowa for his family reunion. It will be fun to see the Country up close between CA and there.
Well, that was over a year ago already.. time flies when you're having fun..
