Carol's Story

Life After H.S. attended Adelphi Univ. Received a BS in Phys. Ed. Unfortunately, at the time of graduation in '78, teaching positions were far and few between. I would have had to move across country, and I wasn't interested in that. So I took a position with Northwest Airlines at JFK as a customer service rep. It was a good job, and it was there that I met my husband, Dave. We worked together for 10 years, until I gave birth to our son, Christopher. Dave still works there. It's been quite a few years since I retired. I still retain flight benefits. I only wish I had the time to go with it. I am working 3days/wk as a dental assistant to a periodontist/dental implant specialist in Long Beach. I find it ver...Expand for more
y interesting. Our son went to Kellenberg Memorial High School.(Class of 2007) He's was a top student,(thank God!) and ran Track all year long. He's a great kid. We love him, and he loves to drive me crazy!! Don't all boys? Upon graduation, my son enrolled in Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Originally he thought he'd study engineering, but 2nd semester he transferred to the Sch. of Hotel Administration. I didn't know much about it, but I've since learned that it's a wonderful field of study, and one of the best "hotel schools" in the country. He absolutely loves going to school. What else could you ask for? I guess that's me in nutshell. I hope to read about the rest of you. My best to all!! Carol~~~

Came across this.....Uncle Ben visiting Mom and Dad, next door...circa 1995. He was entertaining Chris. I think he had a mop on his head 🤪. Don’t remember the specifics......These two got along so well! ❤️
So many tomatoes... What to make? Well, roasted these with a little of this and that, yesterday. Today, I had a few finger eggplants which I sautéed with some onions and garlic and peperoncino. They jumped in the pan wit
Yep, celebrating the relationship between my son and I. I’ve been blessed with a gem. Now, wondering if he would have been slighted if I didn’t post anything, or annoyed that I posted a photo. Guess I’ll take my chances. Lo
My niece, Katie, made a quick weekend visit! Great to see her!
Clean-up time for fall. Almost all of the flowers and vegetables are gone☹️. I grabbed a few flowers to make me smile. A bit more work to do. Tomorrow is another day!
💕Received today for Mother’s Day, from Jess and Chris! Azaleas 🌺!! 💕
This is supposed to be me!!! Lol!
It’s me and IKEA. Everything separated and accounted for. I guess I’ll try a few pieces. I’m in no rush.

A quick snap of the lobby....
The bartender insisted upon taking a photo. This was at my hotel. The drink was a Chi-chi. We first had them in Hawaii 38 years ago......
We did a lot of walking...
