Carol's Story
I zig zagged across the country and finally landed in the Seattle area where I live now. About a year after high school, I moved to Washington and attended the UW for a couple of years but I didn't know what I wanted so I left school and worked at clothing design and making clothes for local rock and roll bands. After a couple of years I decided I would go to law school. The UW was too big so I finished my undergrad back in Michigan at Oakland U. I went to law school in L.A. because my dad lived there. I'm still pretty much a hippy and L.A. was way too image conscious for me so I went to Boston after law school and became a member of the Massachusetts bar. I was ...Expand for more
drawn to the history of the north east. After three years there, I ended up back in Washington (1987) where much of my family lives. Since I didn't want to take another bar exam, I taught myself something about computers and got a job at Microsoft. I was there for 10 years and got married and divorced along the way. I have the most amazing daughter in the universe who is now 17 and a senior in high school (ok, so the picture is a little out of date). I ultimately did take the bar exam here and now I have my own law practice in Bellevue, WA (across the lake from Seattle). I live in a pretty typical suburb in the Cascade foothills but I'm still a hippy. Life is good.
