Carol's Story
I've traveled a long way since Coral Street. My life turned out very differently than I planned. My careers went from the trucking industry, to advertising to non-profit administration, and I've lived in New York, northern California, and the San Fernando Valley before returning to the east coast. My second husband, Murray Schiff, was a talented artist. We were together for 25 years before he died in 2001.
My son married a lovely woman and gave me two instant older grandkids, terrific guys, one recently married and one started college in 2017.

g in California, and had an online electronic magazine, The Eclectic Lapidary, for 10 years. After Murray died, I moved back east to Virginia to a little peninsula on the Chesapeake Bay. I love living in the country with almost 3 acres of wooded property.
I've written a column for a regional magazine, Chesapeake Style, since 2012, and in 2014, I published my first nonfiction book called, "Drowning a County" about the impact of Virginia DOT drainage failures. My first novel, Chestnut Springs was published in September, 2017.
