Carol's Story

I always wanted to be a landscape artist when I grew up. My mom thought that would be too much heavy lifting. As it turns out, I'm more of a scatter-some-seeds-in-the-yard-and-see-how-the wildflowers-grow kind of person. My favorite way to relax is yoga. The wildest thing I ever did in school was have fun with--was it Senior Day?--tricycle races and Mrs. Drury's class filming our class, at least the goofy skit with the "monster" guy coming out of the storm drain near the spot where we buried the time capsule for Class of '70. My pet right now is BooBoo Kitty, a medium-hair Torty of steel gray with ginger harlequin markings on her face, cinnamon mixed with ginger on her back, and the tip of her tail is ginger. Her medium hair really looks long, and is shaped like jodhpurs used to be shaped in the old days. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen, and add on a greenhouse. My dream home would be where everyone in a condominium complex forms a co-op for home maintenance bargains. I would love to see Mrs. Drury again for being so thoughtful to film a class skit, and have us bury a time capsule. All the teachers were so great. I'd like to see them all. 00 million, I'd give ten percent of the after-taxes remnant to an organization that might help drug addicts in Riverside County be under general anesthesia and supervised medically while they go through withdrawal. Then I'd spend the rest on starting a small business and pre-arranging hospice care for my old age. Remember Clabe Hangan singing Obbie-Yo-Yo at assembly? Someone was selling Obbie-Yo-Yo books at the Downtown Saturday Market a few years ago, but when I asked about him at the Riverside Folk Song Society, they'd never heard of him. Changing the subject, my first crush had two girlfriends at the same time in high school. I had jobs typing Medi-Cal cards, walking the courier tunnel under maybe Lemon street, doing filing and shipping of cases, and deciding case numbers with corresponding data entry at Riverside County Department of Public Social Services, and "other duties as assigned". I'm now semi-retired, hoping to get a part-time job doing dishes in a restaurant to help finance a food service of my own. There are no trophies on my mantel, but my cat won "Funniest Name" and got a hands-free litter box in a radio contest where Charlie Tuna was the DJ. Some trophy.

Re-posting fave cousin looking more like Grandma Brown than Dana Carvey's SNL rendition of the church lady. Whatever it is, she hit the nail on the head, and we keep the faith, anyway :) .
Copied from cousin Dana's post--her a.m. walk with her dog amid mother nature being her particularly adorable self (had to crop a little bit of computerese label from the bottom)
