Carol's Story
I am still in Florida, as I love it here. I have been here for 37 years and it is HOME. I can't imagine living anyplace else. The weather is hot hot in the summer, but I guess you just get used to it or just realize there isn't anything you can do about it and put up with it. Of course, the winters are great.
The dog I had adopted in May of 2013 has gone to meet his maker. He got sick and I had to have him put to sleep. It is such a hard thing to do and I am now without any animals. I miss having a pet but right now it is best.
I met up with Dick Bowker, who is also from Cortland and am sure many recognize the name, in January of 2013. We met up through Class Mates and here we are 2 years later still together. Dick also lives in Ocala . Our relationship is wonderful ...Expand for more
and I am delighted that we met and have a life together.
I still like to knit and crochet in my spare time for charity. I enjoy making things and giving them away. It keeps me busy while watching TV in the evening as I am not one to sit and do nothing. I like to be busy.
I have 3 girls and I also have 3 grand children and 3 great grand children. We are all kind of spread out and I don't see everyone often, but when we do get together it is great.
I still visit the Cortland area, but would not want to live there. The winters are too long and cold. It is always great to go to Cortland in the summer. It is a break from the Florida summer heat. Cortland is still a pretty area and I enjoy returning there to see my family that is still there and the many friends I have there.
