Carol's Story
Life
In 2007 I retired after 37 years of teaching. Loved teaching, love retirement. Time has taken on a new dimension. I love being able to choose how I will spend the day. Sometimes the choice is made for me, but generally I'm free to read, garden, visit with family and friends, tackle some long put off household chore, in the winter watch the birds at the feeder, in the summer listen to the sound of the creek running below and behind our home, and enjoy life in a small college town.
I'm happily married to an English professor/ Hemingway scholar/ and current academic Dean of Arts and Sciences who also happens to be an ordained minister and pastor of a small church. We keep busy. We live in a small college town...Expand for more
in the northern panhandle of West Virgina. We have one daughter, who was just married in Moab, Utah . We enjoy travel. Attending the International Hemingway Conferences and visiting with family has taken us to much of Europe, especially Spain, Italy and Germany. In the states we are learning to enjoy the wonders of the southwest as we visit with our daughter and new son-in-law.
I have passed through Nutley two or three times since High School. I am amazed at how much the same the town and HS looks while other towns seem to have changed so much.
I'd love to hear from old friends. Send an email if you have time.
Update: After 48 wonderful years in Bethany, moved to be near family in Mancos, CO. Life is good.
