Carol's Story
After graduating from THS, I spent 3 full years at Children's Hospital School of Nursing for an RN Diploma. I worked 1+1/2 years at Brockton Hospital, then 5 years at Cardinal Cushing Hospital as a Pediatric Nurse, becoming Head Nurse on Pediatrics. I traveled to Europe with 3 friends for one month, came home and reconnected with a former friend who became my husband the following year (1971). We got pregnant and bought a house in Holliston, MA. er, Suzanne, in 1973. I have a terrific marriage that has lasted 37+ years.
I went back to work 11 years after having my children in various jobs, eventually retiring from a school nurse position in 2001. My son is married and we have a 3 year old granddaughter. My daughter has yet to meet mr. right! My husband and I have retired to a beautiful home on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH; our son and his wife bought our home in Holliston. Our daughter owns a condo in Southy, and everyone is healthy.
