Carol's Story

Life I got married 2 months after we graduated. I had 2 sons and embarked on a life adventure. My husband and I moved to Calgary when we were 27 and every 3 years moved with career advancement. We moved to Bonnyville Alberta then Yellowknife NWT then Fort McMurray, Kamloops, then Red Deer Alberta. Unfortunately that was one move too many and Rick and I divorced after 23 years of marriage. Sad, but life is good again. I am pretty sure I am not moving anymore. My own career was following the Scotiabank till summer of 2003, when I joined an investment firm. I soon realized this not where I wanted to be either. So I went to College in Calgary! Better late than never. I am now a mortgage specialist with CIBC. Hey? Need a mortgage? I got great rates! Life on the personal side? I have a whole new life with Brent MacArthur (no he isn't from KSS, heck he isn't even from BC) he is a flatlander from Saskatchewan. We are living wel...Expand for more
l in Red Deer, golfing, and working.... My kids are in Red Deer too.... Terry (31) married, and they have 2 little girls so that makes me a Nana!!!My youngest son, Chad (29)bought his own condo. Hockey, Football Golf Pets? a Mini dachshund, and a Pomeranian My kids taught me patience and unconditional love... my step-sons taught me how to be a better person. Elanna Legath - now Dmytry. Met in grade 8 at KLO. We both switched to KSS and shared a locker together... the rest is history. She is an angel and the sweetest person I know. She is still my best friend. To relax? twist off an ice- cold Rickard's White. Sit back in a comfortable chair and have some laughs with friends. My inspiration comes from my kids. They are making it on their own... they are my greatest accomplishment. XO
