Carol's Story

I moved to California in 1967. I loved the 60's and 70's! Everything was so alive and full of life and ideas...and MUSIC! I married a musician and lived a life pretty close to what is portrayed in the movie Almost Famous. It was fantastic, but not so realistic when the dust settled. I have been a single mom since 1980. I live in Long Beach, CA and work at a community college. I worked and went to school and got my college degree as I raised my son. I have one son who is married, and now I hav...Expand for more
e a grandson to complete the picture just as I move into retirement this July 2010. I am really looking forward to the next chapter in my life. I only went to Mt. Pleasant in 10th through 12th grades, so I don't have the close friends that some have there. I mostly remember the Kappa Kappa Kappa sorority and the close sisterhood there. I have been a club advisor, for a women's community service club, at the college where I work now. I love it. It reminds me of those days back at Mt. Pleasant.
