Carol's Story

Life has been good. Married Lee 52 years ago and we have two children and three grandchildren. We travel a great deal around the country in our trailer but love the Pacific Northwest the most. Have been to Europe, South America, Africa and Canada but enjoy traveling the US the most. Our homes have only been in California. From Rio Dell in Humboldt to Santa Maria in the south part of the State. Lee sold Shipping Containers to fruit/nut growers up and down the State of California. We finally decided to run our own business in 2002 and we should have done it years before that. We still have our business and it keeps us in traveling money. ...Expand for more
I lost my brother right after our son was born. A tragic automobile accident took his life. My father died the next year but my mother lived until she was 92. So far our health has been great with the exception of aches and pains that everyone seems to suffer with. I was a stay at home mom while the children were young then worked as a Public Relations Director for Visiting Nurse Association while they attended college. Then, ran our business "Carleigh Packaging", while Lee did the selling and customer contacts. We have had a rich full life and marriage. Our children are successful and wonderful parents. What more could anyone ask for.

This was a picture taken on our honeymoon 50 years ago. The 30th of January Lee and I will celebrate the best marriage two people could hope for and we are thankful for the time we have shared together.

We lost a great man yesterday. Papa Duck, our daughter-in-laws grandfather, completed his life and moved on to be with his beloved wife, Mildred. This man who we loved to be with was the life of the party. Always a smile
Two more days until Chase celebrates his 5th Birthday. What a great little man. Can't wait until your Birthday Celebration.
What a great time we had with our grandchildren, their parents, and Jennifer's parents. Just the 8 of us but a wonderful day of food, hearing the grandchildren playing the piano, playing games that are much too advanced fo
