Carol's Story
I didn't like the questions. I don't drink coffee! I have no idea of who I was in high school. I don't feel like real life started till Nursing School. I'm sorry that I didn't keep in touch with friends from school, since some were friends since kindergarten.
I don't work but I don't relax! I take care of a 4 year old grandson 3 days a week and my mother every day.
I had 2 daughters. The oldest one, Gretchen ,died after having her second child. Those grandchildren live in Florida with their father and step mother. They are 13 and 17. They visit for a week or 2 in the summer and we visit for several days in the winter.
Emily is my younger daughter. She is married and lives a few blocks away from me. My mother lives at the bottom of my hill in the Senior Hi Rise.I take care of Emily's son so that she and her husband can work full time. I retired when he was born 4 years ago.

Washington hospital School of Nursing in 1966.I worked at St Francis in Psychiatry for 3 years and after Gretchen was born I returned to work in Geriatrics. I worked at several Nursing homes, had another baby(Emily) and then became Director of Nursing at Regency Hall in the North hills. When I couldn't stand that any more, I went to the convent. Just to work there! I stayed at Mt. Alvernia Infirmary at the Motherhouse in Millvale for 10 years. I returned to St Francis Hospital for 5 years in the Geriatric clinic and then in Utilization review as a case manager. When I saw that the hospital would probably close, I went to Health America for the last 5 years that i worked. I was a case manager for Medicare members.
I was married to Richard Goston(class of 64) for 19 years and to my present husband Jim Logan for 23 years.
Talk about too much information!! Oh well, I always was an open book.
