Carol's Story

I left Steamboat in 1973 and moved to Joseph Oregon, much like the Steamboat we knew in 1970. My husband and I have an art gallery on Main Street where we sell our paintings. I mainly do watercolors and bronzes, among other things. Joseph is an artist community in the mountains of NE Oregon. I didn't know that art would be such a significant part of my life when I was in high school. I devoted my time to studies. I sure would like to know where Mr. Henderson (Algebra) is. He inspired me so much, a quiet, shy girl who had no confidence in herself whatsoever. His classes were the high-light of my day. I would like to tell him THANK YOU for his encouragement. So please, if anyone kno...Expand for more
ws where he is, let me know so that I can thank him personally. Of course, he probably won't remember me, but it would be nice to let him know what he did for me. It is funny how part of my heart still lives in Steamboat even though those years were in their way "hard", as years can be for many of us in our growing up years, I guess. I would like to find out where Debbie Bristol is as she was such a good friend. But I think of all of you and hope that life has been kind and that you have been happy and successful. If you care at all to see my work, just google Carol McLaughlin or Mark Kortnik and we should come up. Thank you for being part of my life in Steamboat. Carol McLaughlin
