At Rio Hondo - I earned an AS degree in Marketing, which I am using today, as my title is AfterMarket Service and Sales Specialist at a Heat Treating Furnace Manufacturer. Been there for +16 years. Retiring in 4 years (2007).
Workplace
I have worked for Ipsen Int'l for the past 16-1/2 years. I am an AMS Sales Specialist. Do a variety of projects - quoting jobs, parts, rebuilds, retrofits, upgrades, service, and new hot zones. I schedule all of the Service Engineers for jobs. This company is a...Expand for more
Manufacturer of Heat Treating (Industrial use) furnaces. We make both Atmosphere, Draws, and Vacuum type furnaces. It is a very technical field and sometimes very stressful. Trying to satisfy everyone with one body - it really beats you up. I will retire in 4 years at the age of 62....no doubts about that. I've worked for companies such as Wham-O Mfg. (8 years), Gould (Navcom) 2 yrs. Burroughs (2 yrs) and a mixture of others since graduation. I still say my very best and most exciting job was at Wham-O.
