Jim and I moved to Hampstead, NC with our two sons, Justin and Brian in the summer of 2003. The northeast rat race was getting to us and Jim's sister convinced us that Hampstead was a great place to live...good weather, right next to the beach, a good place to start a business, good schools...So we packed up and moved; but truthfully everything fell into place so easily and so quickly we figured that it was meant to be. e local HS (a school of excellence and distinction for 5 years running)and Justin attends college in Wilmington, NC. Jim opened up the Wilmington Slot Car Raceway in Wilmington in February 2005 and is doing well. It was quite the challenge to start up a new business with little experience, but we are doing okay. We own a home on the golf course in an area where most of Long Island and NJ has moved to. And of course have a german shepard named Cedric that we "acquired" after being here 3 months.
