Carol's Story
When I left Plant High, I went to the University of South Florida. I was in the charter class. I received a degree in Elementary Education. I taught in the public school system for 2 years. During this time I married a military man. We started our military career going many interesting places: Los Angeles CA, Dayton OH, Philippines, England, Ft Walton Beach FL and retired in Wichita Falls TX. We have been here 30 years now. was a military dependent, I worked as a school teacher and a dental assistant. When my husband retired from the military, I started my civil service career. I instructed Electronic Principles at an AF base and then became a medical training manager. I retired a year ago after 30 years of civil service. I am enjoying my retirement. I now have time to exercise regularly, baby sit for my grandchildren, play the piano, lead music at church, take Bible studies, help my husband with our horse business (we raise quarter horses - we now have 21 of them).
