David's Story
Life
After High School I attended Wisc State College/Stevens Point. I Married Carol Zerbe from Antioch, Ill in July, 1965. We moved to Mundelein, Ill and our first son Keith arrived in Oct, 1966. We moved back to Kenosha, Wisc and in July, 1969 our second son Kraig arrived. Carol and I became licensed Foster Parents for Kenosha Co in 1972. In 1977 we had the opportunity to adopt our daughter Angela, born in July, 1972 and was placed in our home at 6 months old. We moved to Texas in 1977 for a year and returned to Lake Zurich, Ill. Our two boys graduated from Lake Zurich High School. In 1987 we finalized an adoption of our second daughter Bonnie. Due to some issues from the adoption we moved to Sacramento, Ca in Nov, 1987. We resided in Sacramento, Ca until Sept, 2000 and during that time...Expand for more
adopted another son and two daughters. Angela has given us a grandson and granddaughter however she has remained in CA. Kraig was married in 1990 and moved to Englewood, FL with his bride in late 1991. Keith is still single but moved with us to Florida. The other children all moved with us to FL in 2000. We now reside in a nice 3 bedroom home with a caged pool and only 7 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. We have moved my Mother in to our home since she is 84. We enjoy walking the beaches of the Gulf watching the sunsets at least once a week. I currently am working for FEMA responding to natural disaters as a grant writer. I travel all over the country with my job. Carol and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in July, 2005. Life is good and we continue to enjoy it day by day!
