Me
When I was in the 4th grade, I decided I wanted to be a writer. I'm glad to say I have accomplished that goal. I have published over 175 articles in national magazines, and I am about to have my 26th book published. I'm really excited about my middle-grade mystery series, The Phantom Hunters. The first book, The Lost Treasure of the Golden Sun, came out a few years ago. The second book in the series is called The Secret of Blackhurst Manor and should be out next spring. I'm also working on a series of informational e-books for small businesspeople and writers.
My Kids
My daughter Tracy has a master's degree in political science. She and her husband have four kids, three boys and a girl. I am proud to say that my oldest grandson, Dylan, got a baseball scholarship to Cal State - East Bay (formerly Hayward), and he will be leaving for college in September.

son Damon runs his own company. He and his wife just had their first baby in January of 2010, a little girl named Kyla Ann
Of course, all my grandchildren are my prides and joys.
My Pets
I had a long-haired brown tabby whose name was Two Socks. She was a Norwegian Forest Cat-type--12 pounds, huge paws, and all hair. She looked like a cross between a brown bear and a lion. I'm sorry to say she passed away in September of 2009.
In March of 2010, I got a new kitty, a longhaired gray tabby. (Yes, I love tabby cats!) Her owner had passed away, and she had spent a few months at Petco. She was very depressed, needless to say. Since she was 5, I knew the chances of her getting adopted were low, so I decided to get her. A fellow writer suggested I call her My Mews, a play on words for "Muse," which every writer wants and needs. I took her suggestion. Mews has adapted well.
