Carol's Story
After graduating from Maryvale High School I joined the Navy. Shortly after arriving at my Navy A- School in Millington, Tennessee, I met the wonderful guy who would become my husband. Ron and I were married in December 1973. After completing 6 years in the Navy, we both got out (he actually got out before me and enjoyed being my military dependent for a year!) With the birth of our first child, I became a stay-at-home mom! Was home with our first 2 children for about 6 years during which time I took some college classes. ould be home with those 4 children which was soon to be 5 children (12 years between my 1st and 5th!) I absolutely loved being a stay-at-home mom because I was able to participate in all the kids school and sport activities.
In November of 1999 I took a secretarial job at my church and that is where I am today! I have worked in Adult, Youth, Children and Preschool Ministry and recently moved to the Finance Office (always did love numbers)!
Ron and I have been married 38 ý years, our children (2 boys & 3 girls) are out on their own and we have 3 grandchildren (2 boys & 1 girl).
Our jobs/family have moved us from Tennessee to CA (Lemoore Naval Air Station, Moffett Field Naval Air Station, & San Jose) to Texas (Odessa & Austin) and to OK over the last 40 years.
