Carol's Story
I am the oldest of 14. In the last 3years I have lost 2 sisters and 2 brothers, and a niece and I am losing A SISTER-IN-LAW.
Ater I graduated I went to normal school (teachers college) and I taught school for 5 years, then got married and had 6 children (lost one 3 days after birth.) While raising my children we moved out to a farm and lived there for 29yrs.
After my youngest was in school I went to work at Piggly Wiggly in Juneau and was a bakery and manager for 9 yrs. I then got a divorce and went back to school and became an LPN. In the meantime duri...Expand for more
ng those years I became a private pilot. I worked in hospitals, nursing homes and doctors office. I retired in 2000, but went back to work in 2004 and still am working at least 30hrs. a week as a home care nurse.
I remarried in 2003 and now live in Oshkosh. My children had all married, I had 3 boys and 2 girls, and now I have 12 grandchildren.
My husband has COPD,empasemia,atrill fibulation and this last year we have been in and out of the hospital. because of bronchitis and emphysema, and pneumonia.
