Carol's Story
I always wanted to be a social worker when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right.
Visiting grandchildren is my way to relax.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have sunshine, good pay, and nice co-workers to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
I lived in the Buffalo, NY area until retirement from the Erie County government and starting Social Securty at the same time at age 62. I moved to Sarasota, FL after that to be nearer to my two daughters and five grandchildren.
Reading non-fiction, watching reality tv, pets and analysis of total's politics are my current obsessions.
I have remained friends with my ex-husband and he is friends with my current husband. My biggest surprise is that I was to obtain three Masters degrees while working full time. This was along with surviving cataracts and five bouts of cancer.
Let them make the same mistakes that you made without too much comment.

0 million, I'd give most of it to charity, then spend the rest on grandchildren, children and myself.
Yes. It was in 1960-1962 and girls had a curfew and had to sign in and out with the housemother.
My current age is 69. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong. But growing old isn't for sissies!
My best friend would tell you I'm outgoing, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as shy.
No way! I dress the way most people in a warm climate dress. I have a fairly good sense of style since my sister was a dressmaker/designer in many famous films.
I share my home with my husand and pets, which I find interesting.
In 10 years, I hope to be alive. I'm going to get there by watching my health.
It wouldn't be a surprise at my high school reunion that I wear the same size that I did in high school since most everyone does.
A childhood memory is the fact that most of us were naive about reality.
