Carol's Story
A funny thing happened on my way back to a life in California. I went to New York City to spend a year working, going to the theater and enjoying city life before returning to school in CA. I spent most of my professional life in hospice-related positions and retired as Executive Director of the New York State Hospice Association. Retirement is uneventful, filled with volunteer work, family, travel, gardening and reading as well as all of the usual bumps along the road of aging and life. No complaints. As the old hymn says, "It is a gift to come down where you ought to be."
