Carol's Story
I'm a retired Professor of Molecular Biology, now living in Maryland with my husband Chris Niles.
I got my doctorate from the University of Wisconsin in 1974 and worked in research and teaching for 30 years.
We have a house near Frederick Maryland and another on the eastern shore.. a river front Victorian that we've been
upgrading for the past few years. Most weekends find us there.

been a health professional) and also as a sculptor working mostly with large scale glass projects. I'm spending my retirement going back to school. I take classes in history, art history and metal art (the hard stuff, not the music) and have had a couple of exhibits of my work. Once or twice a year I return to teaching a college course as part of a "Learning Community" where I pair up with a professor of English and we guide the students in reading and writing about science.
